White Division Breakdown:
(This time-consuming analysis was put together by Andy Hillin - thanks)
Q: What happens if both Karsten and Jumper's team win next week? (from J Kingston)
A: If that happens there will be a 3-way tie for 1st place (4-2 records), and since all three teams will have 1-1 records among common opponents, then the 3rd tie breaker, cum scoring margin, will be the deciding factor - as of now, Jumper's team is on the outside - they will need a big blowout to make it.
A2: Here's where it gets interesting. If Team Fagin can also win next week, then there will be a four-way tie for 1st place. If all three of these teams win next week, check out the common opponent results below:
Team Fagin: 1-2
Team Karsten: 2-1
Team Jumper: 2-1
Team Robertson: 1-2
In this scenario, the 2nd tie-breaker (common opponents) will eliminate both Fagin and Robertson's team from the 1 & 2 spot in the division.
Q2: What happens when Team Ramthun wins and if Team Robertson and Team Van Rhein win? It would be a 5 way tie for second place. (from J Ramthun)
A: If we have a five way tie for 2nd place in the White division, then believe or not, Team Van Rhein would win out via the 2nd tie-breaker (common opponents). They would have a 3-1 record between the five teams.
Red Division Breakdown:
> Team Reinberg (who lost by 55 in week on of inter-league play) has clinched a top two position
> Team Dankenbring needs to win to secure the 2nd spot
> If team Dankenbring loses, team Boles will have a good chance since it holds the tie-breaker between the other two contending teams. If we see a three way tie for 2nd (3-3 records), team Boles would come out on top via the 2nd tie-breaker (common opponents) with a 2-0 record.
Tie-Breakers:
1) Head-to-head Record
2) Common Opponents (if more than two teams are tied)
3) Cumulative Average Margin of Victory among common opponents
4) duel (captains: 20 paces with a paint gun - first to get hit loses)
